Iveco Czech Republic, a.s. won the prestigious award The company of the Year in the automotive industry in 2019. The winner of the traditional, the 22nd edition of competition was announced by Association of the Automotive Industry. Iveco Czech Republic again scored in the category of companies with more than 250 employees. The main criteria for obtaining the award were the economic results achieved last year.
Last year, Iveco Czech Republic produced a record 4,612 buses, what is 326 more than in 2018. The company is reaping the greatest success thanks to the Crossway range, which is the leader in the intercity bus segment in Europe. IVECO BUS reached also another important milestone in 2019 with the handover of the 40,00th Crossway.
The manufacturer of buses from Vysoké Mýto has long fundamental importance for the Czech economy also thanks to its exports. The company is a major employer in the Pardubice region, employs over 3,900 people and creates another approximately 1,700 jobs with subcontractors. In 2019, the company again ranked among the three best employers in the region and defended the silver medal in the Employer of the Region 2019 competition in the Employer of the Year category up to 5,000 employees.
In 2020, Iveco Czech Republic commemorates 125 years since the company was founded by Josef Sodomka.
